Why does a black hole suck everything in even light yet a sun with more gravity than the black hole does not? So when a massive star collapses in on itself the outer layers are exploded out into space leaving behind a black hole which has less gravity than the original massive star.
Yet light could escape the massive star and it didn't suck everything in.
I don't get how a being ver small with less gravity makes the black hole so much more powerful than the original massive star. |
The intensity of the gravity from regular objects increases as you approach the surface
of the object and reaches a maximum at the surface.
So with a star, the gravity on an object near the star has a limiting or maximum value.
A Black Hole has no "surface" per se , as all of the black hole's mass is concentrated in a point (or singularity)
Therefore the gravity experienced by an object passing near a black hole will steadily increase as the distance from the black hole decreases.
The difference is that the intensity of the gravity has no bounds, and will continue to increase as you get closer to the black hole.
Once the gravity reaches a certain point (called the event horizon), the velocity required to escape will exceed the speed of light making it impossible to escape.
At that point, you have been SUCKED in! |
Its a question about blackholes can they suck in other black holes? Can black holes suck in other black holes if so please explain with lots of details?
And that thing about the astronomers finding a white hole do you think that is true or false and please explain on that one to. |
Yes they can, the result of two black holes that merged would just be a larger black hole.
One definition of a white hole is that it is the same as a black hole, just observed backwards in time. By that definition, every black hole that astronomers have discovered is also a white hole. I haven't heard anything about some different type of white hole discovered recently. |
Does Black Ops suck compared to the others games in the series? Not many people share my belief that Black Ops, indeed sucks . I'm just interested for other people input , please justify your thoughts, however |
Personal opinion:
Black Ops has the best single-player campaign of the series. It was amazing.
Multiplayer, not so much. The maps are designed in such a way that you can't protect yourself, and if your a sniper like me, there are like zero good sniper lines. Going back to COD4. |

The gravity of a black hole is the same as the gravity of a star with the same mass. For instance, if the sun suddenly became a black hole (couldn't happen, but just for instance), Earth would continue to orbit the black sun as usual. The danger is that if you get too close to the black hole, like only a few miles away, the gravity would be extremely strong and it would be hard to escapeThat depends on how much matter has been pulled into the black hole. The more matter, the stronger the gravity (just like everything else). It also depends on how something is moving near the hole. A planet could be in orbit around the black hole and not be pulled in. For instance, suppose the sun suddenly became a black hole (couldn't happen, but just suppose). It has the same amount of matter, so it has the same gravity. All the planets would continue to orbit it. It just would get pretty dark!!! If a black hole were inside a cloud of gas, the gas near it would probably be pulled in. Well, since the hole then has more matter, it has more gravity. So it can pull in more gas. More gas, more gravity. Or maybe it's in a cluster of stars and some stars fall in. The hole could start growing. If there were a smaller black hole nearby, it could get pulled in too.
“Thousands of astronomers are just grinding their brains away on black holes,”...“You compare that to a white hole, I don’t think you’ll find one astronomer grinding his brain away.
A "white hole" is supposed to be the opposite of a black hole. If matter and light can be trapped inside a black hole, then a white hole is where the matter and light come spewing out. |
How much matter can a black whole suck in untill something happens? as to say explosion, also is there a theory of terminal rate as to say a black hole out of control that would get so massive it could suck gallaxies like a guy drinking orange juice? |
Hi:
Black hole don't explosed, they just grow larger, but to do that it would take very large amount of it. However as matter falls into to one, matter get heated and compressed until it start send X-ray and Gamma rays before dissappearing forever down the cosmic dainhole LOL |
Does a black hole suck stuff in on both sides? Does a black hole suck stuff in on both sides? Or only on one side? if it only sucks stuff in on one side, what would happen if you try to approach and enter a black hole from the back/other side? |
| You are thinking two dimensionally. It sucks from all directions, like gravity, unless you are talking about Oprah. |
Would a white women let me suck her toes with my big n1gg3r mouth if I sucked a black womens? If I sucked a black girls toes before? Would white women still let me suck theirs?
It's very few of us with this fetish it's mostly white guys. |
| No |
Black men suck my nipples better than White men? Black men have full soft lips while white have small lips that are limited to many tricks. My C cup breasts love it. Don't hate. Just suck my nipples. |
| I don't necessarily think so... It all depends on how much LOVE they put into it. |
How does a black hole suck in in itself all of circumferential? It is known in fact, that not a single signal can abandon Black Hole even light photons!
It is that GRAVITONY are truthful? In fact, on a theory, is their speed equal to velocity of light, means and their Black Hole must not emit? Then as is there gravity co-operation??? |
i do not understand your question but i do know that black holes are stars that have super-compressed resulting in overwhelming force of gravity that can attract and destroy anything even light cannot escape.
but current knowledge about black holes are still tentative and the idea can be altered or replaced to suit new facts. a black hole cannot be observed or seen directly for the reason that it swallows light so it is dark in color, it can only be identified by its immense force of gravity pulling in matter all around it. |
How fast do black holes suck up obstacles in their way? How fast do black holes eat up whatever? For example, if a black hole was coming towards Earth, would it be near instant or would it be a slow process? Any more interesting information on black holes would be appreciated, as well.
Thanks. :3 |
Black holes are pretty obvious structures.. They dont just appear.
Stars have lifecycles within lifecycles.
They accrete more matter everytime that they supernova, which brings them closer to the next phase of fusion.
So the lifecycle of the star goes like this (and at anytime if theres not enough matter to sustain fusion, they pop like a bubble of plasma)
Hydrogen> Helium> Carbon> Neon >
Oxygen> Silicon> Iron> Black Hole
To answer your question, if you were sucked into a black hole, youd reach (C - the speed of light) very quickly. |
